Taylor|Graham is the exclusive representative for Formento & Formento, a husband-and-wife photography duo known for their cinematic, quasi-anthropological images that explore mood, memory, and the cultural character of place. BJ Formento, born in Hawaii and raised in the Philippines, trained in New York after studying photography at the Academy of Arts University in California and working with notable photographers early in his career. Richeille Formento, born in London, studied at Central St. Martins College of Art before working as a fashion art director and designer. They met in 2005 while working together in Miami and were married three months later.

Together, they began collaborating professionally, uniting Richeille’s background in styling and art direction with BJ’s experience in lighting and photographic technique. The couple’s work often blurs the boundary between fiction and reality, using staged scenes, saturated colors, and rich atmosphere to evoke cinematic narratives. Their photographs explore themes of love, longing, cultural identity, and the passage of time across diverse locales, including the United States, Cuba, Mexico, India, and Japan.

Formento & Formento have exhibited internationally and their work has been featured in prestigious collections such as the International Center of Photography in New York and the Boca Raton Museum of Art. They have published bodies of work, including Circumstance: America Down on Bruised Knees, and have presented short films such as The Voyage at events including the Cannes Film Festival. Their photographs combine elegance, narrative depth, and visual poetry, making them distinctive voices in contemporary fine art photography.

Their photographs are available in both 30 x 45-inch and 40 x 60-inch sizes. 30 x 45-inch Photographs are printed in editions of twelve, and 40 x 60-inch Photographs are printed in editions of seven; as editions progress and sell out, prices increase. Prices are subject to change with the sale of each work within a given edition.
