Artist
Born in Kanda in 1925, Hajime Kato was a Japanese Modern & Contemporary painter.
Initially pursuing a career as a competitive cyclist, Kato decided to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming a painter in 1958. Beginning in the early 1960s, and over a nearly four decade career, Kato developed his own style with artworks that were clearly identifiable as his own.
